Acts of Kindness Campaign

This year, Long School has kicked off an Acts of Kindness Campaign. Students are encouraged to do at least 12 acts of kindness for others. Mrs. Maddock visited our classroom today and read us a book to get us started! The book was called A Girl With a Cape: The True Story About the Superhero in All of Us by Amy Logan.

     On the cover of the book in the lower left hand corner, you can see the Kindness Card. Students can do acts of kindness anytime throughout the day, at home or at school. Whenever they complete an act of kindness, please initial the corresponding number on the card. For example, if your child does three acts of kindness at home, you can initial three spots. If they tell you they did an act of kindness at school, please still initial the card. When they have filled up all 12 spots the card is taken to the office and they will earn a "spot" on the cape wall in the main hallway upstairs (you may have seen it, it looks like the picture on the front of this book). Students came up with wonderful ideas today for how they can show acts of kindness and were eager to get started! If you have questions, please just e-mail me.
