Spring is finally here and we could all use a much deserved break! This Friday, March 22 will also be an 11:50 dismissal day. No lunch will be served. Students will be off early again because this time it is record day for teachers. Third quarter officially ends on Friday, so you can expect the report card within the next couple of weeks (after spring break). We are winding down several units of study, so please note our plans:
Math: fractions and measurement review. (Test will be after Spring Break.) 8s quiz on Friday.
Spelling: Group 1 test Tuesday, Group 2 Wednesday, Group 3 Thursday, Group 4 Friday
Social Studies: three branches of government project
Reading: Finish figurative language/poetry unit
Writing: finish publishing pieces and share with the class
Please check the blog sometime over Spring Break for updated information on MAP testing.Spring Break is from March 25- 29. Lastly, it was wonderful to see those of you who had parent teacher conferences. Thank you for all that you do in helping make this school year a success for your child.
